Entry Reminders
Entry Reminders watch the dates attached to your portfolio entries and insurance policies, and nudge you before anything important passes — in-app and by email. When you’ve handled one, action buttons let you close it out so the reminder disappears instead of lingering.
Reminder types
Section titled “Reminder types”| Type | Watches | Typical assets |
|---|---|---|
| Payment | Recurring due dates | Loan EMIs, insurance premiums |
| Maturity | Maturity dates | Fixed deposits, bonds, insurance policies |
| Review | A review date you set | Any holding you want to re-evaluate periodically |
When reminders fire
Section titled “When reminders fire”Each reminder has a configurable lead time (up to 90 days). As the date approaches, reminders land on a ladder of rungs: at your lead time, then 7 days, 1 day, and on the day itself. For example, with a 30-day lead you’ll hear at 30, 7, 1, and 0 days before.
Reminders arrive two ways:
- In-app — on your Notifications page
- Email digest — a tidy summary email, controlled per-type from your notification settings
Setting reminders up
Section titled “Setting reminders up”- Review dates — set a review date directly on the entry form when adding or editing a holding.
- Maturity and payment dates — come from the entry’s own fields (maturity date on a fixed deposit, payment schedule on a loan, premium cadence on a policy). If the date is there, the reminder engine watches it.
- Preferences — the Reminders tab on the Notifications page controls lead times and which reminder types email you.
Closing the loop: reminder actions
Section titled “Closing the loop: reminder actions”Every reminder carries action buttons — on the Notifications page, the entry’s detail page, and insurance policy pages:
| Action | What it does |
|---|---|
| Mark paid | Records a recurring payment/premium as paid and advances the reminder to the next due date |
| Mark reviewed | Completes a review — a yearly review advances to next year; a one-off clears |
| Mark matured | Resolves a maturity — renew with a new maturity date, or close it permanently |
| Snooze 7d | Hides the reminder for a week, then it returns |
